Getting the Best Results

Your C-Suite is capable. But like any team, it performs better when you give it what it needs. Here's how to get maximum value from day one.

Be Specific

The single biggest lever. Vague requests produce vague results. Specific requests produce precise, usable output.

  • ❌ "Handle the pricing thing."
  • ✅ "Review our service menu pricing. Flag anything below 40% margin and recommend adjustments."

The second version gives your CFO enough to actually analyze. The first forces it to guess.

Give Context

Your C-Suite remembers a lot — but not everything you're thinking right now. When a request involves a specific situation, include the relevant details:

"The Henderson client is pushing back on our timeline. Here's the original scope and their latest email. Draft a response that holds firm on the deadline but offers a partial delivery option."

Context in, quality out.

One Request at a Time

Complex multi-part requests work, but you'll get better results by sequencing. Get the analysis first, then ask for the document. Get the draft first, then ask for revisions. Each step informs the next.

Correct Early, Correct Often

When something comes back wrong, fix it immediately — the way you would with a new hire. Corrections are permanent; your C-Suite learns from every one. The first week of heavy feedback saves months of frustration later.

Use the Right Seat

You don't have to know which specialist to address — the COO routes automatically. But if you know you want a financial perspective, say so: "Give me the CFO's view on this." It sharpens the output.

Review Before Approving

On Executive and C-Suite plans, sensitive actions require your approval. Use it. Skim the draft, check the calendar invite, read the proposed email. Two seconds of review prevents the rare mistake.

Trust the Graduated Autonomy Model

Start with everything requiring approval. As your C-Suite proves reliable on specific task types, raise its autonomy level for those. Over time, it handles more without asking — and you spend less time reviewing and more time running your business.

Built for owners who refuse to sit in every meeting.
